If you know your gondolieres, they more than likely would charge you for taking a picture like this. In this instance, I shot fast--which is why I like the mobility of my 35mm cameras--and this man with a hat, a cigarette and an obvious attitude -- ended up looking like the Venetian version of the Marlboro man.
