Print Title - "DOWNINGTOWN
LOG HOUSE"
Newly painted, built about 1710, this cabin of
Swedish log construction once housed Thomas Downing, founder of Downingtown.
It doesn't always look this good. But the blue sky contrasted with the
autumn leaves, the white paint which engraved the log pattern all blended
to make a pleasant picture of this Route 30 relic. Picture taken in 1991.
